CommunityWise Resource Centre in Calgary
November 2nd, 9th at 9 AM (blended worship)
November 2nd and 9th we will complete our tour of potential new locations with visits to Scarboro United Church at 134 Scarboro Avenue SW Calgary. There is parking on the street and in a small lot behind the church. You can use the side entrance and make your way downstairs to the chapel. Please note that both in-person and virtual (Zoom) worship will begin at 9:00 AM to accommodate other church activities and to explore different timing for our own worship. In addition, today is the morning after the change back to Mountain Standard Time, so you will have an extra hour in your day.
Calgary Quakers normally gather for Meeting for Worship in person and on Zoom each Sunday at 10:30 AM. We are rotating in-person venues this fall while we discern a longer-term home. The Zoom link stays the same. All are warmly welcomed.
To receive the Zoom link or join the mailing list for weekly announcements, please email yycquakers@gmail.com. Additional dates and updates are shared in the weekly announcements.

Quakers Embrace Everyone
In the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers), people from a variety of backgrounds and beliefs embark together on a spiritual journey. Although their individual beliefs may vary, Quakers share a Testimony of Equality based on the idea of a Divine presence in all people. A testimony is not a belief; it is committed action arising out of spiritual experience that describes the way that Friends testify or bear witness to their beliefs in their daily life.
“Deep within us all there is an amazing inner sanctuary of the soul, a holy place, a Divine Center, a speaking voice, to which we may continuously return.”
~Thomas Kelly
The Calgary Religious Society of Friends acknowledges that our gatherings take place on Treaty 7 in Southern Alberta in Moh’kins’tsis, named by the Blackfoot, where the Bow River meets the Elbow. Southern Alberta is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta (Districts 5 and 6).
Calgary Monthly Meeting is part of Canadian Yearly Meeting and the Affirming Network of Faith Communities.
